Not one founder, not one date.
Contemporary records show that the Glen More name and company existed before 1910. Cultuur-Maatschappij Glen More was established in Surabaya in 1901 and took over four erfpacht parcels from Fraser, Eaton & Co.
Ross, Taylor & Co. appears in the records as an agency firm in Surabaya, not as a single founder of Glenmore. No contemporary source has been found for 2 February 1910.
The Scottish imprint remains relevant through an Anglo-Scottish trading network, but who exactly coined the Glenmore name remains unknown.
